It's Been a While

Hello again, everyone! It has been a while since I was able to get any posts up, and so I apologize. I have been busy with work lately, and now I have a breather, so life is good. I had the opportunity to do an interview recently with a couple that is getting married in June. The setting was great, and the film turned out really great.

I am exited to finalize the film, and see the couple’s reaction to it as it is complete. One of the greatest joys that I have as a videographer is seeing the reactions of those whom the film is for or about. My goal is to make them laugh, cry, and be real. I find that as people talk about thier lives more, the camera dissapears and the real feelings come out.

My suggestion to any of you out there trying to document your personal history by video, sound, or paper, is to just be as natural as possible. Do not try to dramatize or embelish, because the most moving and touching things we do are ordinary and everday things for us, but not for our posterity. We are making history! Be honest and real.
